Welcome to Rookie Ready in the ACT! This Basketball ACT program is designed for children aged 8 to 12 who have completed Ford Aussie Hoops or Pink Stars and are ready to take the next step in their basketball journey. Rookie Ready helps bridge the gap between beginner programs and junior club competitions, focusing on game awareness, teamwork, and skill development in a structured environment.
The program supports players of all playing abilities, building confidence through small-sided games, drills, and activities that reflect real-game scenarios. With a focus on rules, positioning, and decision-making, Rookie Ready prepares participants for the transition into weekly team-based competitions.
Basketball ACT delivers Rookie Ready at key locations across Canberra, led by experienced and accredited coaches in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. It’s the ideal next step for young players ready to grow their skills and take the court in competition.
