Courses
Basketball provides many different ways to become, or stay, involved in the best sport in the world. Scoretable and statistics are two such opportunities.
Scoretable Officials are an active part of the game and are recognised as such. They perform a number of key functions in the operations of games, which include:
Scoretable Officials are required to complete an accreditation course, which is conducted by the Basketball ACT. After this, you can put yourself down to be rostered onto games and become an active part of the ACT Scoretable team!
There are also opportunities to represent the ACT at National Championships (such as Waratah National Finals or Junior Championships) or even vie to represent Australia. Basketball ACT had two members of the Scoretable team be part of the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup – Maddy Thacker and Annette Anderson. So you will be able to learn from those who have been exposed to higher level experiences.
Being part of the Scoretable team is also a great way to try something new, and meet some new people.
This course is aimed at parents and volunteers that need some additional learning and exposure to what is required on the score-table/score-bench at a more specified basis.
Anyone that is involved in a representative program or involved in Basketball ACT’s Molten Junior Premier League is strongly urged to register.
This course is aimed for participants aged 15+ years.
