Referee Registration

All referees must complete and submit a registration form online in order to be rostered to officiate games.

If you are interested in becoming a referee, please fill out the below form and an email will be sent to you regarding the date of the next referee course.

Rules of the Week

Basketball ACT have introduced the Rules of the Week to boost the knowledge of referees and community members at the domestic level. The rules of the week are available to access via the Basketball ACT app.

Here at Basketball ACT for Referees, we use the platform ‘Slack’ as our communication tool. This is where all things refereeing is posted. Through Slack you will be able to:  

• Make enquires about the roster  
• Ask questions regarding rules  
• Send and receive messages from Officials Team and others 
• Hear about any upcoming events that may interest you  

You can download this app for free on your phone’s app store by searching ‘Slack’.  

We will use the email you registered for the trainee course with to invite you to Slack, if you do not receive an email, please email us so we can add you to our team.  

Refbook is our assigning and payment system across all competitions and used in basketball across all of Australia.

Ideally, we want the person who is refereeing’s email to be the one attached the account as it makes it easier if any issues arise. If the preferred email is different to the one used to register you will need to contact the official’s team so the invitation gets send to the correct account.  

Once you have received an invitation link you should be able to log in, if you do not have ACT Basketball Inc as an organisations please reach out.
