A big first week of NBL1 East at home last weekend started with a bit of bling and finished with 8 wins from 9 games across our NBL1 and Waratah League teams.

Our sincere thanks to NBL1 Australia GM Tyrone Thwaites for making the trip to recognise our National Champion Canberra Gunners, along with Federal Member for Bean David Smith, and BACT CEO Nicole Bowles for presenting the team with their NBL1 East Championship rings.

The 2025 East & National Championship banners will now hang above our home court at the Southern Cross Basketball Stadium in Tuggeranong, just to remind opposition teams of what they’re up against.

Great wins for the Gunners & Nationals over Illawarra last weekend, the daunting Maitland-Newcastle road trip looms this weekend, and then we’re back at home on ANZAC Day against Penrith.
